Binders, with tabs for each subject. Excerpts on individual leaves with table of contents in volume 1 (carbon copies). Loose leaves are excerpts to be inserted with suggested topic handwritten at top of page. Loose excerpts consist of original typed sheet with two carbon copies. The third carbon is the 26 cm. sheet which will fit the three ring government issue binder. The original and first carbon will fit a six ring binder of 21 cm. Thirty loose leaves are three shorter tables of contents.

George Catlett Marshall (b. December 31, 1880, Uniontown, Pennsylvania-d. October 16, 1959, Washington, D.C.), had a long and auspicious career in the United States (U.S.) Army and to the United States. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1901 and served his country as U.S. Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Envoy to China, Army Chief of Staff, and as President of the American Red Cross.
